Ruffed Grouse Hunting is excellent in the area surrounding the resort. Season Dates (all zones): Sept. 15-Nov. 14 Dec. 1-Jan. 1 Woodcock Sept. 19 - Nov. 1 2009 Black Bear Running Bear has been a favorite place for bear hunters since the 1950s. We are in a great location the Resort is in the Bergland Management Unit and the Amasa unit is across the road.
